to the Driftwood Guest House in the heart of Comox
on Vancouver Island, BC. The newly built, self
contained suite was completed in July 2005.
We are located on a quiet street and within walking distance
to downtown Comox. The suite will accommodate up to
5 persons.
Spend your vacation in the heart of wonderful Comox by the sea. Our
private, spacious and quality accommodations will more
than meet your expectations. We are ideal for families
who need a home base to relax, vacation together, and
enjoy the wonders of the Comox Valley. It can be your home away from
home. We are also perfect for your special quests,
house hunters and locums.

World-class Mount Washington Ski Resort, Crown
Isle Golf Course, and miles of sandy beaches
are just a short drive away. Enjoy watching the bald eagles
year round and the giant trumpeter swans in winter.
Wildlife abounds in the Comox Valley. In our mild winters, you can
ski Mt. Washington in the morning and golf
or kayak in the afternoon.

Suite $95 - $120 based on double occupancy.

Cancellation
Policy
* Cancellations must be received by mail, email or telephone.
* Where written notification is received greater than 14 days prior to the confirmed arrival date, you will be charged a $50 service charge;
* Where written notification is received less than 14 days prior to your arrival date , you will be charged for one night;
* Where written notification is received less than 48 hrs prior to arrival, your deposit is non-refundable.

Comox Valley Activities
Opportunity abounds for outdoor activities during summer and winter,
including walking, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding,
boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming, diving, golf, wildlife viewing,
fossil hunting, photography, whale watching, birdwatching, skiing, snowboarding
and snowshoeing.
Indoor activities include visiting local galleries,
museums and restaurants, as well as
top-notch local theatre and night life.
During
the summer, huge craft and cultural events such as MusicFest
and the Filberg Festival are held in the Comox Valley
area every weekend. Don't miss the local Farmer's Market
every Saturday morning in nearby Courtenay, where you
can purchase baked goods, preserves, organic produce, and unique crafts
and gifts.

Ruhstein Wildlife Images - Mr. Ruhstein has retired in the Comox
Valley and shares hundreds of photographs of wildlife, including our
Black Bear, Grizzly, local Eagles, Great Blue Herons and Trumpeter Swans,
Killer Whales (Orcas) and Sea Lions. He is also an avid sports fisherman
and shares many fishing photos too.
Mount Washington
Alpine Resort From skiing and snowboarding in winter to hiking and
mountainbiking in summer, Mount Washington has a lot to offer. Skiers
take note: Mount Washington Alpine Resort currently has the
deepest snow pack in Canada and is now ranked in the
top five deepest snow packs of ski resorts worldwide!
During the 1998-99 season, Mount Washington received 18.5 metres of
snow in one winter. The Winter 05/06 accumulated snowfall is at approximately
8 metres, with several weeks of spring skiing still to go. In winter,
meet the Ski Bus and let them do the driving. For the snow report,

the boardwalks and nature trails of Paradise Meadows and enjoy a nice
lunch in the restaurant on the mountain.
Cumberland
Museum - Explore the rich history and learn about the heritage of
this formerly booming mining town. Cumberland, nestled in the mountains,
is also the gateway to Comox Lake, where swimming and
waterskiing are popular activities in summer.
Courtenay Museum
- Enjoy one of their fossil tours by learning about
the local fossil discoveries and then receive a guided tour
and demonstration to find your own fossils on the banks of the Puntledge
River.
